‘We Could Have Done Better’ – Suresh Raina Analyses Team India’s Recent Performances In International Cricket

Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina opened up on Team India's current performance in international cricket and presented his views on ongoing Border-Gavaskar Series.

The past few months have been full of ups and downs for the India national cricket team. The Indian team has suffered major jolts in the past three months which includes ODI series loss at the hands of Sri Lanka and 3-0 white-wash against New Zealand in the Test series at home. The Indian team also ended up losing the second Test match against Australia after winning the first match in Perth by a big margin. Indian captain Rohit Sharma has been out of form and hasn’t been able to contribute with the bat. Also, his captaincy has come under the scanner as he took some decisions on the field which might have resulted in Team India’s loss.

Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina opened up on Team India’s performances in recent days while interacting with News24 journalist Manak Gupta. Raina opined that Rohit Sharma should play up the order which will make the batting lineup look solid. He also stated that the Indian team will rectify on their performance will do well in future.

He said, “We have not played that many pink ball tests. When New Zealand came, their spin attack was very good. There was Santner, Glenn Phillips. We could have done better. We won the first test well in Perth, Rohit Sharma should play higher up because I think if he plays higher up then there will be a solid batting line-up. When he came, a son was born in his house, he went back so sometimes we should rectify. It is 1-1 now, there are still 2 test matches left and we will do well.”
