Paris Olympics 2024: India’s top wrestler, Vinesh Phogat, announced her retirement after being heartbroken by her disqualification from the Paris Olympics. She was close to winning a gold medal in the women’s 50kg freestyle wrestling event but was 100 grams over the weight limit during the morning weigh-in on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini made a big announcement. He posted on Instagram, saying, “Our brave daughter of Haryana, Vinesh Phogat, reached the Olympic finals with a brilliant performance. She may not have played in the final for some reasons, but she is a champion to all of us.”
