New Delhi: Fake smartphones are being sold in the country’s capital, Delhi. Noida police busted a gang that was selling iPhone 13 at a low price. This gang was caught with 60 fake iPhones.
According to the police, this gang was selling fake iPhones for Rs 12,000. While the original iPhone 13 is priced around Rs.50,000. The gang used to get the iPhone 13 box from China for Rs 4,500. Check the packaging
The model number, serial number, and IMEI should be displayed on the iPhone box. Phone details are available when you open the Settings app and select General > About. If your details do not match, your phone may be fake.
Where to verify serial number
The serial number can also be verified at https://checkcoverage.apple.com. Enter your iPhone’s serial number on Apple’s Warranty Status website to get information about your phone’s model, warranty period, support status, and more.
Check IMEI number by dialing
Check the IMEI number at http://www.imeipro.info. Every phone has a unique IMEI number. Look up this number in the database to get information about the phone. Dial *#06# on the keypad or check the SIM tray to find the IMEI.
Do a physical check on the phone
Check the Apple logo on the back of the iPhone. All iPhones have the Apple logo on the back. The certified Apple logo should not appear raised or textured. If rubbing your finger over the logo feels different than rubbing the back of the iPhone, then the phone is bad.
