iPhone 17 Air Could Debut With An Innovative Silicon Battery Technology- New Key Details Revealed

A recent report about the all-new Ultra-thin iPhone Air has revealed that the first thin iPhone would be equipped with an advanced battery technology that Apple has been able to tap from the Japanese supplier TDK. Apple would be equipping the new iPhone Air with silicon -anode batteries by the end of June.

A new revelation has revealed that the battery has silicon instead of traditional graphite, allowing the manufacturer to pack more than 15% more energy into the same space compared to conventional rechargeable battery packs. Such an innovation would allow Apple to ramp up the battery life of the phone in such a small and slim form factor.

What The leaks Suggest

The report comes in at a time when leakers like Wayne Ma have revealed that the device would have a worse battery life compared to older iPhones as well. Gurman had revealed that the battery could easily be on par with several other older iPhones. The High density battery would be able to give the device a formidable battery life. Similar tech has been used in other phones in the industry as well we saw a similar battery technology the Honor Magic V3 pro Foldable. 

New Modem For Extended battery life

To further ensure that the device is able to last a whole day without any recharges, it would be equipped with a C1 modem and, the lack of triple camera sensors would further assure better internal component management.

The advanced Silicon Battery technology would help the brand further aid other devices and flagships as well such as the 20th anniversary flagship TDK has further assured that they would be able to surpass the set standards and are currently working on a new fourth generation silicon Battery which they would launch sometime in the next fiscal year. The Air is expected to replace the Plus model that is currently available in the line up. The phone is likely to be launched in September.
