While the phone is set to launch in September, a constant array of leaks by supply chain analysts and enthusiasts have revealed the possible changes that the phone would go through. A New Advanced Camera
Apple iPhone 17 pro-models, are expected to have been launched with a slew of new changes , specifically around the camera module. Apple would seemingly depart with the square camera bump to a new camera bar design that would span across the width of the device. The Top half of the phone would be constructed out of Aluminum instead of 3d glass, The bottom half of the phone would continue to use glass as it would help enable wireless charging. Apparently the iPhone 17 ‘s pro would reportedly be larger than that of the previous model.
New Display Sizes
For The new Apple iPhone 17 models Apple is expected to bring in larger display size around 6.27 inch display. Since the iPhone Air would be completely new version based on the iPhone 17 Plus model the phone would possibly have completely new dimensions.
iPhone 17 Air
Apple has formidable plans to launch a completely new device that is significantly slimmer than any of the current gen phones. The phone would be the result of a major redesign that would feature a Single Rear Camera located in a horizontal camera bar. As per reports by Apple analyst Ming-Chi -kuo the iPhone Air would be 5.5mm thickest thinnest point. The Device would have a 6.6 inch display size and would replace the Apple Plus model in the Apple Line up. Most of the other features would be similar to the other phones such as addition of a Apple’s C1 Modem, An action Button along with a Camera Button.
120Hz ProMotion Display
Apple, would be expanding the presence of its ProMotion Display to all iPhone models in 2025. The new display’s would be able to provide the phones with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and video content. Previously only pro models had such a display. The New display would allow the phones to have a much more optimized and power efficient low refresh rate allowing the phone to have a always on display. This would allow widgets such as lock screen clocks, notifications and wallpaper to show up even when the device is locked.
8K Video Recording
While the rumor’s have not been confirmed yet it’s possible that the 48 MP sensors that the phone would have would be capable of recording 8K videos. Several rival smartphones have such video recording capabilities such as the S25 Ultra and the Google Pixel 9 Pro. While The 8k Video Feature is not a go to choice for many content creators right now, its addition to the iPhones might be able to change that. A report by Mark Gruman that revealed that Apple wants to showcase the Apple iPhone 17 Pro’s the new phone’s improved video recording capabilities as a significant addition hence its possible that the phone might be offered with 8K video recording capabilities.
