Posting a Written note on its official channels , Rockstar said it is sorry for the delay in the release date of the game. “With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception. We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve,” Rockstar Games said.
While Rockstar has revealed that the game would be late, Rockstar games has still remained tightlipped about the release of the new trailer. The first trailer of the game was released a year back.
Reason Behind The Delay As Per Jason Schreier
Jason Schreier ( gaming industry erudite) has been a formidable source regarding the updates on GTA6. Schreier has iterated that the delay has been announced purposefully to avoid any kinds of rushes in the final pursuit to finish the game development that the studio has suffered before as well. As per Schreier a similar jeopardy had stunted the Red Dead Redemption 2 game and since than he has been keeping an eye on the development process. As per Schreier the delay indicates a positive change in the overall development process of Rockstar games.
So the delay would in turn help the developers work on the game in with ease and further improve the overall experience that the game would provide upon its launch, since there would be no more rushed jobs or tasks. Hence it would be fair to say that the delay is a part of the new strategy that Rockstar has adopted to reduce the chances of rushed game development as per Schreier on BlueSky. Since the game would be the ultimate flagship that would have to quench a lot of expectations, its possible that GTA would further take more time to develop the game as per expectations.
