A heartwarming tale of reunion has touched millions of hearts across the country. After an intense three-month search, a couple from Gurugram finally found their lost dog in Agra. According to reports, their 10-year-old Indian Greyhound went missing in November 2024, following which the couple, Dipayan Ghosh and Kasturi Patra began an extensive search to bring it home.
In early November, the couple went on a Diwali vacation along with their two dogs, Woof and Greyhound, TOI reported. However, while visiting Fatehpur Sikri on 3rd November, they received a distressing call from the hotel staff who informed them that Greyhound slipped her leash and vanished. CCTV footage showed her near the Taj Mahal metro station two days later, but she disappeared again.
Despite the setbacks, the couple spent weeks in Agra searching relentlessly for their dog. Reports stated that they searched the area and distributed posters & banners. Upon returning to Gurugram, they made multiple trips to Agra and even increased the reward offer from Rs 30,000 to Rs, 50,000. Notices were put up from auto-rickshaws to metro stations and animal rescue groups and volunteers were alerted.

Meanwhile, social media played a crucial role in the search as well. Their other strategies include using drones to scan alleyways, and seeking the help of police dogs but to no avail. Animal Rescuer Samridhi Sirohi informed that the dog was spotted in the forests near the Taj Mahal. The locals mistook it for a wolf and pelted stones at it, post which it ran to the dense forest. On February 14, 2025, the couple received a phone call from Prashant Jain, a tour guide about their dog.
