Unbelievable: This Aadhaar Card Headshot Turns Unflattering ID Photos Into Confidence Boosters Overnight!

It looks like the photo is from a Baal Aadhaar Card, which is made for children under five. These cards include the child's name, photo, date of birth, gender, and one parent or legal guardian's Aadhaar number.

It’s commonly accepted that Aadhaar card photos aren’t known for their flattering qualities, leaving many people stuck with less-than-ideal headshots on their IDs. However, a recent viral Aadhaar card photo might bring some solace to those who’ve had their own photo woes. The image depicts a child being coerced to look at the camera, with someone partially hiding behind the child’s head while using a hand to direct the child’s gaze towards the lens. The child in the photo appears to be in the midst of a scream, adding an element of discomfort to the situation.

An individual, identified as X user, shared a photo online along with the caption, “Show me a better Aadhaar Card Photo, I will wait.” Since its posting on March 21, the post has garnered over 22,000 likes. In response to this, another user, also identified as X user, commented, “Just wondering what was rejected to select this as the final pic?”

It seems that the photo in question was taken from a Baal Aadhaar Card, designed for children under the age of five. These cards typically include the child’s name, photograph, date of birth, gender, and the Aadhaar number of one of the parents or legal guardians.

To change the photo on an Aadhaar card, individuals must visit an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre or Aadhaar Seva Kendra, where an official will take a live photograph to replace the old one. There is a fee of Rs 100 charged for updating biometric details on Aadhaar.

In an unusual incident from Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind in 2015, a bizarre case emerged where a photo of an Aadhaar card issued to a dog went viral. The Aadhaar card featured the dog’s photo and identified the document owner as Tommy Singh, son of Sheru Singh, with the dog’s date of birth listed as November 26, 2009. Following an investigation, the supervisor of the local Aadhaar enrollment agency in Umri was charged with forgery.
