Viral Video: A heartwarming video featuring a baby elephant is doing the rounds on the internet. The internet couldn’t get enough of the fun-filled moment when the animal helped itself to a quick snack as it moved alongside the road. In the viral clip, a herd of elephants was spotted strolling down a street peacefully. What happens next will melt your heart!
As the giant elephants walked down the tree-lined paved street, a baby jumbo walking behind reached out for a fruit from a cart on the side. While the cart owner appeared to be startled, a woman, probably his customer, gently handed over a sugarcane to it. The cute interaction video was shared by an Indian Forest Service officer (Retd.) Susanta Nanda on his X handle, with the caption, “A quick snacks break for Chotu. Cute.”

The video has sparked a wave of reactions from social media users, capturing the attention of over 50,000 people. A user said, “All baby elephants should have unrestricted access to any food, anytime, and anywhere. It’s the law. If it isn’t, it should be, and is henceforth declared as irreversible law.” Another user commented, “The elder giants passed so gently without having a glimpse of sugar canes. But the chotu opted different, it have a glimpse on the canes and hurried to have snack. At last kid behaves like kid irrespective of the fact that whether it is a human being or animal.”
A third user wrote, “Love how the lady feeds the baby. However, I do have a problem with this entire scene: wild animals belong in rich, green jungles with plenty of resources and not in the cities, enslaved for labour or entertainment. Meanwhile, a fourth user remarked, “Really very adorable ..The big elephants just walked away..but the cute baby elephant just tried its luck and wà rewarded..by the cart owner..after tasting the sugar cane it was satisfied with the food item offered with love.”
