Real paneer is soft and crumbly, while fake paneer feels too rubbery or hard.
Pure paneer has a mild dairy aroma. If it smells sour, chemical-like, or plasticky, it may be fake.
Drop a small piece of paneer into hot water: – Pure Paneer: Stays soft and retains its shape. – Fake Paneer: Turns slimy or disintegrates.
Add a few drops of iodine solution to crushed paneer: – Turns Blue: Contains starch (fake). – No Change: Pure paneer.
Pure paneer has a creamy, slightly sweet taste. If it’s chalky or bitter, it may contain harmful additives.
.
– Buy from trusted brands or local dairies. – Always check the manufacturing and expiry date. – Avoid unnaturally white or excessively firm paneer.
