Put the margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Beat until light and fluffy.
Add the flour, baking powder, salt and bicarbonate of soda. Mix until fully combined.
Knead just until the dough forms a smooth ball. Chill for 15 minutes until firm enough to roll.
Roll out to approximately 7-8mm thick.
Cut out the heart shapes. Gather the offcuts back up and re-roll.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Arrange the cooled cookies on a clean surface.Brush a heart biscuit with the 'glue'.
Take a handful of sprinkle hearts, dot glue where you want them, and press gently into the icing. Let them dry, then enjoy!
