India’s Defence system is having advanced missiles and other equipment’s. The Indian Air Force is waiting for the new version of the Tejas MK1A yet the Chinese-Pakistani made JF-17 Block 3 takes part in international drills with Rafale F-15 Eagle and Eurofighter Typhoon combat aircraft.
The JF-17 Block 3 stands as the first substantial evolution of the JF-17 Thunder which Chinese manufacturers developed. The multi-purpose JF-17 Block 3 fighter aircraft exists as an aerospace collaboration product between Chengdu Aircraft Corporation of China and Pakistan Aeronautics Complex.
The JF-17 is going to be the key fighter squadron of the Pakistan Air Force in the coming years. The Pakistan Air Force have inducted the JF-17 block 3 in 2023. This is been compared to the India’s fighter jet LCA Tejas.
The JF-17 Blog 3 participated in Saudi Arabia’s multinational war exercise victory spear 2025. In this the Saudi Arabia deployed F-15, EF-2000 and Tornado aircraft. On other end Bahrain has deployed F16, France deployed their Rafale, Pakistan deployed their JF-17, Qatar deployed their EF-2000 and US with F-16.
As quoted by Navbharat Times, ISPR the Pakistan Military’s media wing mentioned in their statement that, “The PAF fighter jets flew a non-stop flight from their home base in Pakistan to Saudi Arabia and back, carrying out in-flight air-to-air refueling. This demonstrated the long-range operational capabilities of the JF-17 Block 3.”
The JF-17 Thunder comes with a Chinese-built fuselage but uses Western electronics systems which integrate a Russian propulsion system. A state-of-the-art radar and electronic warfare subsystems cultivate the JF-17 Block III but maintain its foundation derived from previous Block-I and Block-II airframes. Target detection and tracking capabilities of the JF-17 Block 3 use its KLJ-7A Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar system.
