As Tehran attacked the port city, reportedly killing four people and injuring dozens, sirens were sounded across the country. While dozens of ballistic missiles targeted Israel, one struck Tamra, the Arab city located east of Haifa, the Times of Israel reported.
According to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iran’s wave of ballistic missiles targeting Israel was a part of its “True Promise III” operation. The Iranian attacks were the first on Sunday morning, which prompted Israel to send alerts to its people to take shelter. During the process, Israeli armed forces were activated to intercept the strike.
