During a summit with African governments, Putin mentioned that he was considering a peace initiative proposed by leaders, but also blamed Ukraine for not coming to the table.

However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made it clear that peace negotiations with Moscow will not occur until Russian soldiers withdraw from Ukrainian territory.

Zelenskyy believes that allowing negotiations while Russian forces occupy Ukrainian land would only perpetuate the war, suffering, and pain caused by the Russian attack.

Meanwhile, tensions escalated further as Russia reported that Ukraine targeted Moscow with drones, with three drones being intercepted.
