Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif Admits China Shared Intel On India After Operation Sindoor

Asif said, "It's very normal if we are sharing any information that could pose a threat to us or the Chinese, because the Chinese also have issues with India. So I think it's very natural to share intelligence gathered through satellites or other means."

Pakistan defence minister Khawaja Asif Thursday admitted that China shared intelligence inputs on India with Pakistan after Operation Sindoor.

During an interview with Arab News, the defence minister said friendly nations often share intelligence inputs and China did the same as “it also has disputes with India”.

“These days, countries that are close to each other do share intelligence. It’s very normal if we are sharing any information we have,” The Times Of India (TOI) quoted him as saying.

Asif was further quoted by TOI,  “It’s very normal if we are sharing any information that could pose a threat to us or the Chinese, because the Chinese also have issues with India. So I think it’s very natural to share intelligence gathered through satellites or other means.”

The Pakistani minister said they are still cautious after the “short conflict” with India.

Asif admitted support for terror groups

In April, the defence minister had admitted that Pakistan has been funding and backing terrorist groups.

In a video clip that went viral, Pakistan’s defence minister was in conversation with Sky News’s Yalda Hakim, when she asks him, ” But you do admit, you do admit, sir, that Pakistan has had a long history of backing and supporting and training and funding these terrorist organisations?

Khwaja Asif in his reply says, “We have been doing this dirty work for the United States for about 3 decades… and the west, including Britain… That was a mistake, and we suffered for that, and that is why you are saying this to me. If we had not joined the war against the Soviet Union and later on the war after 9/11, Pakistan’s track record was unimpeachable.”
