British Prime Minister Keir Starmer hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at 10 Downing Street where he reassured the Ukrainian President of ongoing UK assistance. The gathering took place after Zelenskyy experienced a difficult meeting with former US President Donald Trump at the White House, as reported by Al Jazeera.
UK PM Keir Starmer mentioned about the meeting on his X handle. He wrote that, “It was an honour to welcome Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Downing Street and reiterate my unwavering support for Ukraine. I am determined to find a path that ends Russia’s illegal war and ensures a just and lasting peace that secures Ukraine’s future sovereignty and security.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote that, “During our talks, we discussed the challenges facing Ukraine and all of Europe today, coordination with partners, specific steps to strengthen Ukraine’s positions and end the war with a just peace, and reliable security guarantees.”
Apart from this he also thanked the people and Government of United Kingdom for their support. Zelenskyy wrote that, “I thank the people and the government of the United Kingdom for their great support since the beginning of this war. We are fortunate to have such strategic partners and a shared vision of what a secure future should look like for all.”
