Let "x" be the total number of mangoes in the crate.

Bruised mango = \(x\over 30\)

Unsalable mangoes = \(3\over4\)× \(x\over30\)

Given that, there are 12 unsalable mangoes in the crate.

Now,

\(3\over4\)× \(x\over30\) = 12

⇒ \(x\over40\) = 12

⇒ x = 480

Hence, there are 480 mangoes in the crate.
