Source transformation:
In the source transformation of a circuit, a voltage source can be transformed into the current source, and a current source can also be transformed into the voltage source.
According to source transformation technique, a voltage source-series resistance combination is equivalent to a current source-parallel resistance combination if and only if their
- Respective open-circuit voltages are equal
- Respective short-circuit currents are equal
- Resistance remains the same in both cases

Given circuit can be transformed as,
5 A, 5 Ω transform into 25 V in series with 5 Ω and 2 A, 4 Ω transform into 8 V in series with 4 Ω.
