Formula used:

Vanilla ice creams sold = \(\frac{\text{Vanilla percentage}}{100} \times \text{Total ice creams}\)

Calculation:

Total ice creams sold = \(\frac{400}{40} \times 100 = 1000\)

Vanilla ice creams sold = \(\frac{35}{100} \times 1000 = 350\)
