- சாவித்ரிபாய் புலே 1831 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 3 இல் நைகாம் என்ற ஊரில் (சதாரா, மஹாராஷ்டிரா) பிறந்தார்.
- அவர் தனது ஒன்பதாம் வயதில் ஜோதிபா புலேவை மணந்தார்.
- அவரது கணவர் மூலம் சாவித்ரிபாய்க்கு ஆரம்ப கல்வி கிடைத்தது மற்றும் சமூகத்தில் உள்ள பிற பெண்களுக்கும் அவர் கற்பிக்கத் துவங்கினார்.
- அவரது ஆசிரிய பயிற்சியை நிறைவு செய்தவுடன், தனது கணவருடன் சேர்ந்து முதல் பெண்கள் பள்ளியை 1848 இல் உருவாக்கினார்.
