Equivalent resistance for the resistors connected in series is given by simply adding the values of resistance

Equivalent resistance for the resistors connected in parallel is given by adding the reciprocals of resistances
\( {1 \over R} = {1 \over R1}+ {1 \over R2}+.....\)
Calculation:
Firstly, finding resistance for the triangle. In the triangle two resistances in the two sides is connected end to end then these two resistances are in series then the resistance be,
R= 3 +3 = 6 Ω
Now the base of the triangle and the equivalent resistance i.e. Re, are in parallel then the resistance b
\( {1 \over Re} = {1 \over 6}+ {1 \over 3}\)
=> Re = 2Ω
so, equivalent resistance between points A and B is '2Ω '.
