Calculation:

Ratio of invalid votes of village R to that of village U = 100 × 65% × 35% : 40 × 90% × 40%

⇒ 65 × 35 : 36 × 40

⇒ 65 × 7 : 36 × 8

⇒ 455 : 288

∴ The required answer is 455 : 288.
