AIIMS MBBS Counselling

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) MBBS Counselling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The first round of the AIIMS MBBS 2022 Counselling is most likely to be conducted online. There is no separate exam for AIIMS, Delhi this year, candidates will have to clear the NEET UG exam and be allotted seats accordingly.

AIIMS MBBS Counselling 2022 Dates

The candidates have to be careful about the dates for the counselling process. Candidates should perform all the steps for the counselling process within the prescribed dates itself. Once, AIIMS Open Counselling for MBBS 2022 all the steps and processes will be conducted as per the dates only. The dates for the counselling process will be updated in the below table once released. 

AIIMS MBBS Counselling 2022 - Complete Process

The candidates who have cleared the NEET UG exam with the required scores will only be eligible for the AIIMS MBBS Counselling. Candidates can check their results and the merit rank list from the NEET website and decide accordingly on their status in the admission process. The AIIMS MBBS 2022 Counselling will be held in five steps. The candidates have to complete all the steps to confirm their seats in the institutions. The steps to be completed for the counselling process are detailed below. Candidates have to follow the official website for all the important details and notifications regarding the same.

Step 1: Counselling Registration

The candidates who are eligible for the counselling process should register themselves in the admission portal. The candidates should visit the official website as indicated in the instructions provided to them. They have to fill in certain details and pay a registration fee for completing the process. Step 2: Choice Filling

The candidates who have registered for the counselling process should follow the instructions provided and login to the counselling portal provided. After logging in to the portal, candidates will be able to choose their preferences. Candidates have to choose the AIIMS Institutions they wish to study as per their preference. After choosing the preferences, the candidates have to double-check their options and lock the options, once confirmed.

Step 3: Seat Allotment 

As per the candidate's preference of institutes and their ranks in the NEET UG, the officials will allot seats. The candidates will be able to view the seats allotted to them in the counselling portal once the results are announced. All the results will be indicated to the candidates through the counselling portal only. Candidates have to keep a check on them for the same. 

Step 4: Choice of Seat 

After checking the results, the candidates can decide whether they are ok with the allotted seats. The candidates have to take the following actions as per their wish about the allotted seats. If any candidate fails to perform any of the following steps, they will be considered ineligible for admission.

• Accept the Seat: If the candidates are ok with the allotted seats, they have to accept the allotted seat. Then the candidate has to report to the respective institutions and submit the original documents for verification. With this, the candidates can confirm their seats.
• Refuse the Seat: If the candidate doesn’t wish to take admission to the allotted institution, they have to refuse their allotment. Or else it will be considered accepted. The candidates have to refuse the seat by logging into the counselling portal.
• Hold the Allotment: If the candidates wish to hold their allotted seats in the respective institution and also participate in the further allotment processes, they have to take the action accordingly. These candidates will have to visit the allotted institution and submit the documents and also point out in the counselling portal that they wish to be part of the further allotment processes.

Step 5: Submission of Documents

The candidates who have accepted their seats and those who like to hold their seats in the allotted institutions will have to report to the respective institution. Then, they will have to submit all the important documents required. Candidates should bring both original and copies of the required documents. The original documents will be verified by the officials and the copies may be kept with them for further processes. The date and time to report to the respective institution will be notified to the candidates through the online portal. With the completion of this process, the seat will be confirmed for the candidate. 

What Options will be Available After AIIMS MBBS Seat Allotment?

The candidates will be allotted seats as per their preferences and their rank for the NEET UG. candidates will have to take further steps to continue the process. The steps to be taken by the candidates are listed below. If any candidates fail to take further action, they will be considered ineligible for the admission process.

• Accept the Seat: If the candidate is ok with the seat allotted, they will have to accept the seat and visit the respective institution for further processes.
• Reject the Seat: If the candidate does not wish to be admitted to the allotted institution, they will have to reject the allotted seat in the counselling portal.
• Hold the Allotment: Candidates who wish to hold the allotted seat and participate in further allotments can choose the option of holding the seat. They have to perform further steps as per instructions.

All the institutions have a certain number of seats allotted for the AIIMS MBBS Candidates. Candidates have to keep in mind the seat matrix. This will help them decide the institution to which they will be allotted (approximately) as per their scores and rank in the list. The seats allotted to each institution are as follows.

Documents Required for Verification after AIIMS MBBS Seat Allotment 2022

After the seat allotment process, the candidates have to confirm their seats by going to the respective college. The candidates have to bring all the required documents to the institution. Candidates should carry the original documents and also copies for the verification process. The original documents will be verified by the officials. Candidates will have to submit copies of the documents to the institution. The documents to be carried out by the candidates are as follows.
