Before applying for the ULET 2025, the candidates must ensure they meet all the ULET Eligibility Criteria set by the University of Rajasthan. It includes criteria related to age, education, nationality and number of attempts. Fulfilling these is essential to avoid disqualification at any stage of the admission process.
There is no upper age limit to appear for ULET 2025, as per the Bar Council of India (BCI) norms. This allows candidates of any age to apply, provided they meet the educational and other eligibility criteria. The absence of an age cap ensures greater accessibility for aspiring law students from diverse age groups.
To be eligible for ULET Exam 2025, the candidates must have completed their graduation with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/PH) from a recognized university or institution located in Rajasthan. This qualifying percentage is applicable only to candidates with Rajasthan domicile. However, if a candidate does not possess a bona fide certificate of Rajasthan, they must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in their qualifying degree from institutions outside Rajasthan. The degree must be recognized by the UGC or an equivalent authority.
Candidates applying for ULET 2025 must be citizens of India. Preference and certain relaxations in eligibility criteria such as qualifying marks are available to candidates who hold a valid Bonafide Resident Certificate of Rajasthan. Applicants from other states can also apply but they must meet the higher qualification requirements unless they have Rajasthan domicile.
There is no restriction on the number of attempts for appearing in ULET. Candidates can apply for the exam as many times as they wish provided they continue to meet the eligibility criteria each time. This flexibility enables aspirants to improve their preparation and reappear without any limitation. However, candidates must ensure that their academic qualifications and documents remain valid and verifiable during each attempt.
After qualifying in the ULET 2025 entrance exam, candidates move through a systematic selection process. A merit list is prepared based on scores obtained in the test. Qualified candidates must then register for online counselling and submit the required documents for verification. Following successful verification, seats are allotted based on merit, reservation norms and availability. In the event of a tie in scores, preference is first given to candidates with higher marks in their qualifying degree and if the tie still remains, the older candidate is given priority.
