The CG PAT registration process has now started from 24th March 2025 on its official website https://vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in/.The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board conducts the Chhattisgarh Pre Agriculture Test (CG PAT) to select candidates for BSc in Agriculture and BSc in Horticulture programmes offered by the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya. All the important details regarding the exam are released on the official website. The BSc Agriculture programme has 1259 seats across 21 institutions, whereas the BSc Horticulture programme has 272 seats across 6 institutions. The CG PAT exam date is  15th May 2025. All the candidates who wish to join the BSc Agriculture and BSc Horticulture programmes in the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya should compulsorily clear the CG PAT exam.

What is CG PAT?

The CG PAT exam or the Chhattisgarh Pre Agriculture Test is conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board to select candidates for the BSc Agriculture and BSc Horticulture programmes offered by the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya. The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board is a Government Agency in Chhattisgarh that conducts various entrance examinations for professional examinations across the state. The Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya University offers 1531 seats across 27 colleges in total for both courses. The exam is a state-level examination which is conducted once every year. The CG PAT exam is conducted offline and has a total of 200 multiple choice questions. The candidates are selected for the course according to their eligibility and their performance in the CH PAT entrance examination.

CG PAT 2025 Notification Important Dates

Candidates can view the dates for each step of the admission process on the official website. Candidates should make sure that all the important steps are completed within the prescribed dates. CG PAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

The CG PAT lists certain eligibility criteria which should be qualified by the candidates to apply for the exam. The official website gives all the details about the eligibility criteria. Candidates should always make sure that they are eligible for the exam before continuing with the application. If any candidate is found to be not eligible for admission the authority will disqualify them without any prior notice. It doesn't matter which step of the admission process the candidate is on. The eligibility criteria for the CG PAT are as follows.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification of the candidate should be as follows.

• Passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from Chhattisgarh Board or any other recognised institute in India.
• Currently pursuing 12th standard or equivalent examination from Chhattisgarh Board or any other recognised institute in India.
• Should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology as a compulsory subject in the qualifying examination.

Age

Other than several other entrance exams, the CG PAT lists the age criteria for the candidates. The pointers to remember regarding the age limit are as follows.

• General candidates should be or less than the age of 25 years.
• SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD candidates have a relaxation in this factor. The maximum age limit for them is 28 years.

Number of Attempts

The exam does not list any criteria for the number of attempts. The candidates should qualify all the other criteria details provided to be eligible to write the exam. 

Minimum Marks

The minimum marks the candidates should earn in their qualifying examination are as follows.

• The minimum marks for the General candidates is 50% of the total. 
• For the SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD or female students are eligible to write the exam with 45% of the total marks.

Nationality

The candidates must be a citizen of India to be eligible to apply for the CG PAT exam. Other candidates who are Foreign citizens cannot apply for the exam. 

Reservation

The candidates' candidates who belong to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Castes (OBC), and Physically Disabled (PwD) candidates are given certain relaxations in the eligibility criteria. The candidates can pass the exam with a minimum of 45% as a total in the qualifying examination whereas for others it is 50%.

CG PAT Selection Process

To get admission to the BSc Agriculture and BSc Horticulture programmes offered by the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya University, the candidates have to go through certain steps. The candidates have to apply for the exam online through the official website only. After this as per the eligibility of the candidates, they will be given an admit card with all the important details of the exam. The candidates should clear the examination. As per their performance in the CG PAT exam, a merit list will be published by the authority. The candidates have to check for their results on the official website and go forward with the admission process as per the instructions provided. After this, they will have to complete the counselling round to get admitted to any of the two programmes offered.

CG PAT 2025 Application Fee

All the candidates are required to pay an application fee to register themselves for the exam. The application fee should be paid before the last date of the application. CG PAT 2025 Syllabus

The exam will contain MCQs. As per the courses preferred, the candidates have to appear for the required subjects only. 60 questions should be answered from the Physics and Chemistry section and 80 questions from Mathematics/ Biology. The syllabus for all the subjects is given below.

CG PAT 2025 Exam Pattern and Test Structure

CG PAT 2025 Exam Centres

The candidates can appear for the exam at the centre provided on their admit card. The exam centres for the CG PAT exam are present across the state. Documents Required at Exam Centres

The candidates are required to carry certain documents to the exam centre. Any other extra materials won't be allowed inside the exam centre. The documents required are as follows.

• Two pens, Black/ Blue ballpoint

CG PAT Answer Key 2025

The answer key for the CG PAT exam is available on the official website. Candidates can view the CG PAT answer key PDF and check their answers to calculate the expected score. Candidates can follow the mentioned steps to view the answer key.

Step 1: Visit the Official Website.

Step 2: Select the "Entrance Exam" tab on the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Select the "Model Answer of PAT Exam- 2025 (Name of Group)" option.

Step 4: Candidates can view their answer key on the screen now. Verify the answer key with your answers.

CG PAT 2025 Result and Scorecard

The results for the CG PAT exam were released with the answer key on the official website. Candidates can view their scorecards by logging in to the admission portal. Follow the mentioned steps to view your results.

CG PAT 2025 Counselling

CG PAT 2025 Cut-Off
