HPU B.Ed 2023 Counselling - Know Detailed Process, Fee Details & Documents Required!

Himachal Pradesh University is the authority responsible for conducting HP B.Ed. entrance test and counselling process for granting admission to 2-year B.Ed program offered in the university and various other colleges/universities in the state. The participants shortlisted via the merit list must attend the counselling session for admission to the various colleges affiliated with HPU B.Ed 2023. The schedule for the same will be uploaded on the official HPU website.

• 85% seats are reserved for the candidates of Bonafide/Domicile residents of Himachal Pradesh and 15% will be open to the candidates of other states /UTs.
• Based on the candidate's HPU B.Ed result, the university will set the date for the counseling session. Seat allotment results will be released separately for every round.
• Candidates who are allotted any seat in the first round should wait for the release of seat allotment results in the subsequent rounds.

HPU B.Ed Counselling 2023 Complete Process

The counselling process starts with online registrations and ends with candidates reporting to the allotted institute with all the documents. The entire process of HPU B.Ed counselling 2023 has been illustrated below:

Registration

Candidates must register on the official website of HPU in order to take part in the HPU B.Ed 2023 counseling process. However, those who have already registered for HPU B.Ed counseling 2023 need not do so again.

Steps to register for the counselling of HPU B.Ed 2023 have been listed below:

Step 1: Visit the admissions portal at "admissions.hpushimla.in." 

Step 2: Go to the "Candidate Activity" page from the navigation menu. 

Step 3: Click on the link "Apply for B.Ed online counseling." 

Step 4: Login in to the Candidate portal with your registration number and password . 

Step 5: Click on I agree to accept all above terms & conditions checkbox and you will be redirected to the personal information page. 

Step 6: A counseling fee of Rs. 500 will be charged from the students. 

Step 7: Click on the "Continue for Payment" button. 

Step 8: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. You can make payment via Net Banking, Credit Card and Debit Card. 

Choice Filling

• Candidates have to select their colleges. A district-wise grid list of all colleges will show up and candidates have to select colleges as per their preference. Candidates can select a minimum of 1 or a maximum of 10 colleges only. To add a new college to the list, click on the ADD New College button.
• Out of the selected colleges, candidates have to enter the preferences from 1 to 10. Candidates can make/select their choices as per the schedule. No changes/modifications will be allowed after the expiration of the given period and the preferences selected by candidates will be considered as final data.

Allocation of Seat

• The procedure of allocating seats will start after choice filling.
• The allotment of seats will be made college- wise depending upon the merit-cum-preference of the candidate(s) for the concerned college.

Note: 

• Counselling will be done in three rounds. Candidates will have to select the college preferences again and the same process will be repeated for the allotment of colleges.
• Candidates who have filled their preferences in first and second round of counselling, but did not visit the allocated college for original document verification will be rejected, and not be considered for the third round of counselling.
• In the Mop Up round the left out candidates will have to visit the university to attend the physical counselling as per schedule.

Reporting to designated colleges

The process for HPU B.Ed counseling 2023 ends with this phase. In addition to reporting at the allotted institutes with the required documents and payment, applicants must download the allotment letter.

Note: 

A candidate once allotted/admitted in a college shall not be allowed to shift to another private B.Ed. College(s) and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

HPU B.Ed 2023 Seat Allotment

Himachal Pradesh University conducts HPU B.Ed 2023 counseling. Applicants should be informed that seat selection is based on a number of parameters, including course or college preferences, HPU B.Ed rank, reservation requirements, seat availability, and more. Applicants are given an HPU B.Ed 2023 seat allotment letter that includes their rank, marks, assigned college, admission category, and reporting period.

What Options will be Available after HPU B.Ed Seat Allotment?

Candidates can check whether or not they have been assigned a seat by checking in to their profile on the admission portal. If they have been assigned a seat, they must complete the following steps. The actions that the candidates must take are the same.

Step 1: Pay the non-refundable seat confirmation fee via the payment portal.

Step 2: Upload the necessary papers in the proper format.

Step 3: The documents are checked, and Provisional Offer Letters for Admission are issued.

Step 4: Candidates can access the Provisional Offer Letter by downloading it.

Step 5: The candidates must now follow the instructions in accordance with the rules.

HPU B.Ed 2023 Seat Matrix

The number of seats that are available for a specific group of candidates is also specified in the seat matrix. It would be made public before every round of HPU B.Ed counseling in 2023. • 10% out of 85% state quota seats in non-government self-financing institutions shall be treated as management quota seats and shall be brought out of the purview of centralized counselling to be conducted by the University.

Documents Required for Verification After HPU B.Ed Seat Allotment 2023

The next compulsory step to be followed to confirm the seat is to upload all the required documents in the admission portal. Any candidate who fails to upload the documents will lose their seat to the next eligible candidate. The documents to be submitted are as follows:

• Print out of the online application form.
• Bonafide Himachali certificate issued by the Tehsildar/Executive Magistrate of the area concerned.
• Claim consideration certificate for admission under any of the Reserved

Categories.

• Matric and Plus 2 Certificate or equivalent.
• BA/ B.Sc./ B.Com. (Part I, II & III)/ MA/ M.Sc./ M.com./ Bachelor’s in

Engineering/Technology or its equivalent examination certificates along with a degree in the concerned capacity.

• Character certificate
• Admit Card 
• Certificate being Single Girl Child from the Tehsildar/SDM of the area concerned.
• A counselling fee of Rs.200/- shall be deposited at the time of counselling by the

candidate.
