NID Application Process 2022 - Know How to Fill NID Application Form and Fee Details Here!

National Institute of Design (NID) started the application process on NID Application Process on 5th October, 2021. The NID Application Process for 2023 will start in the first week of October 2022. The steps involved in the application process are online registration, filling in details in the online form, uploading required documents, and paying the application fee. Candidates can fill out the Application Form online on the official website. The NID exam will be conducted in 23 cities.

• Candidates should make sure they meet the NID exam eligibility criteria before filling out the examination form. If the candidate fails to do so he will be disqualified even if the fee is paid.
• Candidates should ensure that they fill out the NID Registration Form in the defined time to avoid discrepancies at the last moment.
• Candidates appearing for the PG course M. Des need to select 2 disciplines. Check updates on NID exam results here.

How to Apply for NID DAT?

Candidates can follow the steps below to fill out the NID Application Form

Step 1: Go to the official website

Step 2: Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab

Step 3: Enter your mobile number, email ID, Date of birth, and click on the submit button.

Step 4: After registration, the exam conducting body will send login credentials to the registered e-mail ID and mobile number via email.

Step 5: Re-login to the portal using the credentials received after registration.

Step 6: Fill out the application form by entering all the details correctly.

Step 7: Upload all the necessary documents in the specified format.

Step 8: Pay the application fee either online or offline mode.

NID Exam Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses

Age Limit: The upper age limit for the candidates for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) course is 20 years as of 30 July 2022. Candidates from the reserved categories will be given a 3-year age relaxation in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification: Candidates who completed their 10 + 2 (Higher Secondary) from AISSCE / CBSE / ICSE or any recognized board during the academic year 2022 will be eligible to apply for the NID entrance exam.

Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses

Age Limit: The upper age limit for the candidates for the Masters of Design (M.Des) course is 30 years as of 30 July 2022. Candidates from the reserved categories will be given a 3-year age relaxation in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification: The candidates should have completed or should be appearing for the following, before July 2022:

• The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree under the 10 + 2 + 4 Programme. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, from any recognized University or Institute across India.
• The candidate should have a degree or Diploma in Design from any recognized University or Institute across India under the 10 + 2 + 4 Programme.

OR

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized Institute or University recognized across India under the 10 + 2 + 3 program.

Eligibility Criteria for Diploma Courses

Age Limit: The upper age limit for the candidates for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) course is 20 years as of 30 July 2022. Candidates from the reserved categories will be given a 3-year age relaxation in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification: Candidates who completed their 10 + 2 (Higher Secondary) from AISSCE / CBSE / ICSE or any recognized board during the academic year 2022 will be eligible to apply for this course.

Candidates appearing for their 10 + 2 (higher secondary) are also eligible to apply for this examination.

Important Documents Required to Fill the Form NID

The following are important documents to have on hand when registering and filling out the NID Application Form:

• A 75-100 KB-sized scanned copy of a photograph. The image should be saved in.jpg format.
• A scanned copy of the signature that is less than 100 KB in size. The signature should be saved in JPG format. A black/blue ball pen should be used to sign the document.
• Candidates in the SC/ST category are issued a caste certificate by the appropriate authority. The certificate should be in JPG format and no larger than 150 KB in size.
• Persons with disabilities (PwD) applicants must provide a disability certificate issued by a competent medical authority. The certificate must be in.jpg format and no larger than 150 KB in size.
• Overseas candidates should upload the first and last pages of their passports, which should clearly reveal all of their personal information. The file must be in JPG format and no larger than 150 KB in size.
• Candidates will need a debit card, credit card, or net banking information to pay their fees.

How to Make Corrections in NID Application Form 2022?

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to make required corrections other than the name of the candidate, program applied in, registered mobile number and date of birth in the NID application form:

Step 1: Visit the official website of NID.

Step 2: Go to admissions.

Step 3: Follow the amendments section.

Step 4: Below that click on ‘Window to Edit’.

Step 5: Login using email ID and date of birth

Step 6: Click on any one of the given options:

• Application Detail - To check details filled up during Sign-Up

• Upload Document - To upload scanned photo and signature again

• Print Application - To print application form again

Step 7: Click on the Save button.
