OPSC OMAS Recommendation List has been released. The Commission has recommended 27 candidates in order of merit for appointment to the posts/services coming under the Odisha Municipal Administrative Services (Group-A & B)-2021, pursuant to Advt. No. 06 of 2022-23. 

How to Check/Download the OPSC OMAS Result?

OPSC OMAS results will be announced by the commission shortly after the commencement of the written examination (Paper I & Paper-II) for 2024 Cycle. Here we assist you with the detailed steps to check your results on the official website of OPSC:

Here are the details of how to check your OPSC OMAS 2024 result:

1.  Visit the official website – www.opsc.gov.in
2. Click on the Result tab present on the right side of the home page.
3. Search the link Result of Written Exam for Odisha Municipal Administrative Service 2024.
4. Click on said OPSC Result link (Recommendation Notice in connection to OMAS 2024)
5. The post-wise Result PDF will be opened showing a list of shortlisted candidates.
6. Check your name, roll number to OPSC OMAS Result PDF, and know your status.

There are two results announced by the Odisha Commission. One is announced after the commencement of round one i.e. After the written examination and second which is the final selection list of candidates is announced after the interview round. 

Intimation letters for the interview round will not be sent separately to all the shortlisted candidates. They have to download the same from the official website of the commission.

Details to be Checked in OPSC OMAS Result 2024

Once you are able to access the OPSC OMAS Result PDF, here are the details that are needed to be checked in the result:

• Name of the candidate
• Registration number
• An important date for certificates verification.

Documents Needed for Certificate Verification Post Selection

If you find your registration number is in the OPSC OMAS result pdf, it means you are selected for the next phrase i.e. Certificate verification.

You will then have to present the hard copy of your online application form and self-attested documents that are listed below in front of the commission:

1. HSC Marksheet in support of declaration of age. 
2. Intermediate/ +2 certificate.
3. Bachelor’s Degree certificate.
4. Certificate of any other qualification.
5. Certificates of conduct.
6. Community certificate as per the norms.
7. Discharge certificate from Commanding Officer wherever applicable.
8. Medical certificate in case of disability.
9. OPSC copy of challan (pay-in-slip).
10. 2 recent passport size photos.
11. No objection certificates.

If any candidate fails to furnish the hard copy of the online application form and all the above-mentioned documents, then in such case his application will be considered as void and he/she will not be allowed to appear for the interview round.

How to Calculate Marks for OPSC OMAS 2024

Candidates have to use the official answer key released by the Odisha State Public Service Commission (OPSC) for evaluating their marks. Here are further details on marking scheme of the OPSC OMAS (Odisha Municipality Administrative Service) examination 2024: 

• Paper-I consists of 100 questions and for each correct answer, you will be awarded 2 marks.

• Paper-II consists of 100 questions and for each correct answer, you will be awarded 2 marks.

• There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks on every wrong answer in both Paper-I & Paper-II

How to Challenge the OPSC OMAS Result 2024? 

There is no provision initiated by OPSC to challenge the actual result of this recruitment. However, the commission does provide candidates with the facility to contact the OPSC facilitation counter over the telephone & website in case of any grievances regarding the recruitment.

Here are the details to contact the OPSC facilitation counter:

• Candidates can contact over telephone no. 0671-2304141/2305611 & Extension -218 or 201.

• Candidates can contact only on working days between 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM

• Candidates must also visit the official website of the commission for any notices regarding the notification.

OPSC OMAS Merit List 2024

The OPSC generally releases the merit lists online on the official website. The merit list is tentatively announced in the month of February. The OPSC OMAS merit list contains the registration number of all the candidates selected for the next phase of the examination i.e. Certificate verification round. One must remember that the decision of the commission concerning eligibility or otherwise of the candidate shall be final.

The final list is published by the commission that contains the list of all the selected candidates who have made it through an interview round.

OPSC OMAS Cut Offs 2024

The OPSC OMAS cut off marks vary every year. The cut-offs are determined by the following factors:

• The total number of applications received: More the number of candidates, more is the cut off remarking the competition.
• The difficulty level of question paper: If the examination is difficult for a particular year, cut off is expected to decrease
• The total number of vacancies: If the commission announces a large number of vacancies, cut off generally tends to decrease.
• Performance of the candidates: If the candidates have performed brilliantly in the examination during a particular year, cut off tends to increase.

Since the cut-offs for 2024 have not been released yet, we can take a look at the OPSC OMAS expected cut-offs.

This is the cut off for Written Examination I.e. (Paper I & Paper-II). The marks obtained out of 400 should be:

The qualifying marks for the written examination are 50%.

This is the final cut off released by the Odisha Public Service Commission which is considered of the marks obtained by the candidates in written examination and interview. The marks obtained out of 450 should be:
