Stage-I: Preliminary Examination

The Prelims is an objective-type exam carrying 200 marks and is divided into two parts: General Knowledge and Law. The questions may primarily pertain to international law, neutrality, recent legislative developments, landmark judgments especially those related to the Indian Constitution, law and development and other legal aspects. The Mains exam consists of six papers. The first paper i.e., “The Present Day” paper carries 150 marks and is followed by a "Language" paper with 100 marks. The law section is further divided into three papers: Paper I on Substantive Law carrying 200 marks, Paper II on Evidence and Procedure with 200 marks and Paper III focusing on Revenue and Criminal law also carrying 200 marks. Additionally, there is a Practical Examination to assess basic knowledge of computer operations which will be of 100 marks.

Stage-III: Viva-Voce
