The Gujarat Police Force has announced the official recruitment notification for several posts of Armed and Unarmed Police Constables in the Gujarat Police Force. Along with this notification, the Gujarat Police has also released the details of Gujarat Police Constable Salary & Job Profile. The salary of a Constable in Gujarat Police is calculated based on the 7th Pay Commission of the Central Government for Armed and Unarmed Constables along with other allowances. Candidates will be posted against vacancies in Gujarat or anywhere in India. Eligible candidates who have completed Class 12th qualifications and qualify the three part selection process comprising the Computer Based Examination, Interview and Physical Tests will be eligible to receive a Gujarat Police Constable basic salary starting from INR 19,500– per month.

• The Gujarat Police has announced the Constables vacancies in the Gujarat Police Department with posting in the state of Gujarat or any other location in India.
• Candidates shortlisted as the Gujarat Police Constable in the Unarmed Branch are entitled to receive a monthly salary on a scale from INR 19,500/–.
• Candidates shortlisted as the Gujarat Police Constable in the Armed Branch are entitled to receive a monthly salary on a scale starting from INR 19,500/–.
• The scale of pay for Gujarat Police Constable is calculated based on the state government rules of Gujarat. 
• The work profile of a Gujarat Police Constable includes maintaining law and order within assigned jurisdiction by patrolling areas, responding to complaints, taking necessary legal actions and assisting their reporting Sub-Inspectors.

Gujarat Police Constable Salary Scale & Structure

As per the official notification, the pay scale of Gujarat Police Constable salary starts from INR 19,500/– for Unarmed and Armed Branch Constables as per the 7th Pay Commission of the Central Government rules. With years of experience, the Constable’s salary will keep on increasing with yearly increments. 

Now, let us understand this in detail - 

1. The pay scale means that the Basic Pay of Gujarat Police Constable recruits would fall in the range starting from INR 19,500/ per month.
2. Therefore, the starting basic pay of Gujarat Police Constables is INR 19,500/- per month right after selection.
3. However, this is not the complete Gujarat Police Constable salary per month, as selected candidates would also be eligible for certain allowances.
4. These include Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Pay and other allowances, which will get added to the Basic Pay as per the Central Govt. rules.
5. This total amount would be the monthly Gujarat Police Constable in-hand salary.
