• Must have passed 12th standard from a recognised board/university.
• Must have 50% marks in 12th standard if they belong to general/OBC/ UPS category and 40% marks if they belong to SC/ST/PwD category.
• Candidates having a compartmental/supplementary in any of the subjects will not be eligible unless they show a proof of having cleared the examination with required percentage.

• To apply for Ph.D. programs under ICAR, candidates must have completed their Master's degree with a minimum of 60% marks or an OGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale if they belong to the General, OBC, UPS, or EWS category.
• For candidates belonging to the SC, ST, or PwD categories, a minimum of 50% marks or an OGPA of 5.5 on a 10-point scale is required.
• These requirements may slightly vary depending on the university and specific Ph.D. program, so candidates should also check with the institution they are applying to.
