Kerala PSC Sub Inspector Age Limit
There are three categories in the Kerala PSC Sub Inspector Post. Below is the Kerala PSC SI age limit for both the specified departments. There have been certain age relaxation criteria provided to some categories in terms of the Kerala PSC SI age limit.
- For Category I (Open Market), the minimum age of the candidates should be 20 years, and the maximum age is 31 years.
- For Category II (Ministerial), candidates must have completed 36 years of age.
- For Category III (Constabulary), candidates should not have completed 36 years of age.

Kerala PSC Sub Inspector Education Qualification
While applying for Kerala PSC SI exam, the applicants must have a graduation degree or equivalent in any stream, as it is a minimum required Kerala PSC Sub Inspector Educational Qualification. They must present the original copies of required documents in the document verification round.
Note: SC or ST candidates who have completed intermediate/pre-university examinations from a recognized university will be considered, in case the fully qualified applicants are not available.

Both men and women need to be certified and meet the visual standards without glasses. The candidates having squint, color blindness, or any other abnormal eye conditions are not considered eligible for the post of Sub Inspector of Police Kerala.

Note: Candidates should not have any physical defects such as flat feet, deformed limbs, varicose veins, defective speech, defective hearing, knock-knee, bow legs, or irregular or protruding teeth. Kerala PSC Sub Inspector Nationality
The applicant must be an Indian citizen. However, the preference is given to the residents of the state of Kerala. To prove the nationality, applicants are required to upload their Adhaar card while applying online. As of now, there is no publication on non-resident Indians or foreign nationals appearing in this exam.
Kerala PSC Sub Inspector Number of Attempts
The candidates who belong to the general category can attempt the examination a maximum of 4 times. The candidates belonging to the OBC category can appear for the examination a maximum of 7 times. There is no limit on the number of attempts for the candidates who belong to the SC/ST category.

Do I Need to Have Work Experience for the Kerala PSC Sub Inspector Exam?
There is no experience required for the post of Kerala PSC Sub Inspector post. The recruited candidates will join as trainees and trained for ten and a half months. After the training is completed successfully, they will be on probation for 2 years.

- The candidates must have completed a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university or college.
- The candidates need to appear in the written examination. The candidates securing more than cut off marks are shortlisted for the next stage.
