Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
Gopal withdraw Rs. 4,000.
The cashier to give the cash in Rs. 50 and Rs. 100 notes only.
Gopal got 50 notes in all.
Solution:
Let the Number of notes of 50s and 100s are x, and y respectively.
the cash in Rs. 50 and Rs. 100 notes only , so equation formed as
=> 50x + 100y = 4000
=> x+ 2y = 80 .... (1)
Gopal got 50 notes in all, so the equation formed as,
=> x + y = 50....(2)
Subtracting the eq (2) from (1), we got,
=> y = 80 - 50
=> y = 30
now calculate the value of x from eq (2) as,
=> x + 30 = 50
=> x = 20
hence, the Number of notes in 50s and 100s are 20, and 30 respectively.
Hence, the correct answer is 'Option 1'.
