Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
Mohit and Rohit undertook work for Rs. 2200.
Mohit alone can do that work in 10 days and Rohit alone can do the same work in 12 days.
Concept used:
Efficiency = (Total work / Total time taken)
Efficiency = work done in a single day
The efficiency of a person is inversely proportional to the number of days to complete the work.
Calculation:
The ratio of the number of days to complete the work is,
10: 12 = 5: 6
The efficiency ratio will be 6:5
Money will be distributed as per their efficiency ratio
Money received by Mohit,
⇒ 2200 × 6 / 11 = Rs 1200
Money received by Rohit,
⇒ 2200 - 1200 = Rs 1000
Difference in their share,
⇒1200 - 1000 = Rs 200
∴ The correct option is 2
