Let Pipe A takes x minutes
So pipe B takes x+5 minutes
As per the question,
1/x + 1/(x+5) = 1/6
2x + 5 = x(x+5) 1/6
12x + 30 = x2 + 5x
x2 - 7x - 30 = 0
(x+3)(x-10) = 0
So x = 10
Time taken by B is 10 + 5 = 15 minutes
