Perimeter of the rectangular field = 800 m

Breadth = 60% of length

Formula Used:

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (Length + Breadth)

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

Calculation:

Let the length of the field be L meters.

Breadth = 0.6L

Perimeter = 2 × (Length + Breadth)

⇒ 800 = 2 × (L + 0.6L)

⇒ 800 = 2 × 1.6L

⇒ 800 = 3.2L

⇒ L = 800 / 3.2

⇒ L = 250 m

Breadth = 0.6L = 0.6 × 250 = 150 m

Area = Length × Breadth

⇒ Area = 250 × 150

⇒ Area = 37500 m²

The area of the field is 37500 m².
