Calculation :
Let the age of Rahim be R and age of Savita be S.
According to question,
⇒ R = 5S -------(1)
⇒ R + 7 = 3 (S + 7) --------(2)
By solving eq (1) and eq (2) :
⇒ 5S + 7 = 3S + 21
⇒ 2S = 14
⇒ S = 7
Present age of Rahim = 5 × 7 = 35 years
∴ The correct answer is 35 years.
