Concept Used:-

The percentage is a way of comparing the quantities. Suppose, 20 number is x% of y. Then, the relation between x and y can be given as,

\(\dfrac{x}{100}\times y=20\)

Explanation:-

Here, total production of Bicycle by company B,

\(\Rightarrow \dfrac{14}{100}\times64000000=8960000\)

Now ratio of L to M is 9 : 5. So, total L model production,

\(\Rightarrow \dfrac{9}{9+5}\times8960000=5760000\)

Now, profit earned by Company B on model L,

\(\Rightarrow \dfrac{28}{100}\times5760000=1612800\)

Total production of Bicycle by company D,

\(\Rightarrow \dfrac{13}{100}\times64000000=8320000\)

Now the ratio of L to M is 6 : 7. So, total M model production,

\(\Rightarrow \dfrac{7}{6+7}\times8320000=4480000\)

Now, profit earned by Company D on model M,

\(\Rightarrow \dfrac{25}{100}\times4480000=1120000\)

Required ratio,

⇒ 1612800 : 1120000 = 1612800 / 1120000

⇒ 1612800 1120000 = 36 : 25

So, the ratio of the profit earned on model L by Company B to that of model M by Company D is 36 : 25.

Hence, the correct option is 1.
