To keep the mental health of the students, the teacher can do the following:
Provision of co-curricular activities:
- Co-curricular activities are a means of channelizing. students' instincts into healthy and fruitful channels.
- Co-curricular activities provide valuable opportunities in which these drives may be capitalized for educational benefit.
- These activities, thus, cater to the aptitude, interests, and abilities of students and act as a determining factor for good mental health.
Allowing freedom of expression:
- Freedom of expression refers to an individual's ability to express his/her thoughts, beliefs & emotions about any issues or topics.
- By allowing the students to express their ideas and beliefs in the manner that they want the teacher can provide them an opportunity to develop a healthy mind.
Paying attention to the difference in interests:
- Every child differs from others on physical & psychological aspects and has their own individual learning need. Therefore, individuals differ among themselves in their interests.
- Clear-cut differences in the interest of children and adolescents are discernible in sports, school activities, and various areas of the subject matter at the school level and in almost every classroom.
- By paying attention to differences in interests better learning experience and mental health could be provided to them.
Hence, it could be concluded that the 'Revision of the syllabus' is not important to keep the mental health of the students.
