What is the use of text book in class?  

Learning cannot take place in a vacuum. We need to direct our learners to specific learning goals and see that these goals are achieved or not.

Textbooks help teachers and learners in this regard. It is a tool to be used in the teaching-learning process to facilitate effective and meaningful learning.

• It helps in achieving the learning objective which identifies learning outcomes by describing what the students will be able to learn and do after the completion of the lesson.
• It provides the basic framework or ascertains a minimum of authentic content to be covered within which much of the classroom activities occur and also gives every child the best possible opportunities for learning.
• It provides security for the students because they have a kind of a road map of the course, they know what to expect and they know what is expected from them.

Hence, it could be concluded that the textbook is used to achieve learning objectives in class.
