Eight friends A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are sitting around a square table in such a way four of them sit at the four corners of the square while four sit in the middle of each of four sides. Those who sit at the four corners faces the centre while those who sit in the middle of the sides faces outside. Those who sit at the corners likes flowers - rose, lily, tulip and jasmine while those who sit at the sides likes fruits - apple, banana, mango and orange.
H sits fourth to the right of E who does not sit at any corner. The person who likes jasmine sits opposite to the one who likes rose. B sits at one of the sides of the table and like orange. C sits second to the right of the person who likes rose. F sits at one of the corners of the table and sits opposite to the one likes lily. The number people sitting between the ones who likes tulip and apple is one more than the people who likes mango and banana when counted from the left of tulip and mango respectively. At most two people lives between E and B. G is immediate neighbour of both A and C. The person who likes mango does not sit opposite to the one who like banana. D and the one who likes apple are not immediate neigbours. E does not sit opposite to the who like apple.

Those who sit at the four corners faces the centre while those who sit in the middle of the sides faces outside.
Those who sit at the corners likes flowers - rose, lily, tulip and jasmine while those who sit at the sides likes fruits - apple, banana, mango and orange.
1) B sits at one of the sides of the table and like orange.
2) H sits fourth to the right of E who does not sit at any corner.
3) Atmost two people lives between E and B.
4) G is immediate neighbour of both A and C.
5) C sits second to the right of the person who likes rose.
As position of either of A and C with respect to G is not known yet, therefore there are two possible cases.
Case 1)
Case 2)
6) The person who likes jasmine sits opposite to the one who likes rose.
7) F sits at one of the corners of the table and sits opposite to the one likes lily.
After positioning F only one position for person is left which will be occupied by the only person left i.e. D.
As it is mentioned that people who sit at the corners like flowers, so after positioning Lily and jasmine only one position for flower is left which will be occupied by the only flower left i.e. tulip.
Case 1)
Case 2)
8) The person who likes mango does not sit opposite to the one who like banana.
9) The number people sitting between the ones who likes tulip and apple is one more than the people who likes mango and banana when counted from the left of tulip and mango respectively.
10) D and the one who likes apple are not immediate neigbours.
As there is no possible position for apple in case 1, therefore it is eliminated.
Case 2)
Here,
Number of people sitting between tulip and apple (when counted from the left of tulip) = 0
Number of people sitting between mango and banana (when counted from the left of mango) = 1
Thus, here condition of the number people sitting between the ones who likes tulip and apple is one more than the people who likes mango and banana when counted from the left of tulip and mango respectively is followed.
11) E does not sit opposite to the who like apple.
Case 2)
Thus, according to the final arrangement, the one who likes apples i.e. E sits opposite to the one who likes mango.
Hence, "Option 2" is the correct answer.
