The SSC GD Physical Test 2025 is a key stage in the recruitment process for the General Duty (GD) Constable posts. Candidates who qualify the Computer-Based Exam (CBE) will be shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST), conducted by the CRPF. These tests assess the physical fitness and standard eligibility criteria of the candidates. Final recruitment will also include Document Verification (DV), Detailed Medical Examination (DME), and possibly Review Medical Examination (RME).
The SSC GD PET/PST is conducted to evaluate a candidate's physical capabilities and measurements as per set norms. The PST includes checking the candidate's height, weight, and chest measurements, which vary by gender and category. The PET, on the other hand, tests the candidate's stamina and physical strength through running tasks. Both rounds are qualifying in nature and mandatory for all candidates. Clearing these tests is essential to proceed to the next stages, i.e., DME and DV.
The CRPF, being the conducting body, will release the official schedule for PET/PST. All candidates who clear the CBE and are named in the merit list must appear for the physical test. The admit card for this round will be released separately on the official CRPF portal.

Candidates’ weight should be proportionate to their height and age as per the medical standards. Both male and female candidates must meet this criterion to pass the PST stage.
Chest measurement is a mandatory requirement only for male candidates in the SSC GD Physical Test 2025. As per the guidelines, male candidates must have a minimum unexpanded chest size of 80 cm with at least 5 cm of expansion. Female candidates are not required to meet chest measurement criteria, but their chest should be well-developed as per medical standards.
