The CRPF Head Constable Medical Test is the final and most important stage of the CRPF recruitment process. Candidates who successfully qualify for all the previous stages of the CRPF Head Constable selection process are called for final assessment of their physical and medical fitness in the CRPF Head Constable ministerial medical test round. All candidates need to clear this stage with the prescribed criteria to achieve their spot for CRPF Head Constable recruitment 2024.
- It is the second test to check physical fitness abilities of the candidates after their height and chest standards are verified in the CRPF Head Constable Physical Standard Test stage.
- All candidates must be free from any kind of physical or mental discrepancies to achieve a good CRPF Head Constable Result after the Medical Test.
- Candidates’ eyesight, physical measurements and tattoo standards on medical grounds will be checked by CRPF officials in this stage.
- The final selection of candidates will be made on the basis of CRPF Head Constable Cut Off from the written exam to Medical Test stages.

CRPF Head Constable Medical Test 2024
Candidates who have been shortlisted for the initial stages of the CRPF Head Constable selection process i.e Computer-Based Test, Skill Test, Physical Standard Test (PST) followed by Document Verification (DV) will only be eligible for the detailed medical examination (DME). In the DV stage, candidates have to produce official medical and educational certificates, based on which they will be called for the final CRPF Head Constable Ministerial Medical Test. In this stage too, they will have to produce official documents for verification purposes.

CRPF Head Constable Medical Test Eligibility Criteria
Before appearing for the CRPF Head Constable ministerial medical test round, candidates must note that this stage is conducted to test the physical and medical fitness to serve key work responsibilities included in the CRPF Head Constable Job Profile. Some of the important pointers for CRPF HC Medical exam are given below -
- CRPF Medical Officers or the constituted Medical Board will conduct this official CRPF Head Constable ministerial medical test round.
- The Detailed Medical Exam will be conducted as per Uniform Guidelines of medical exam for GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and AR.
- Male candidates with temporary unfitness and female cadres with pregnancy are disallowed to appear for the CRPF Head Constable ministerial medical test round.
- Unfit candidates who are disqualified during DME can appear for the Review Medical Exam (RME) within 24 hours where their fitness standards will be verified by the Review Medical Board.
- If candidates are found fit in RME, their names will be shortlisted for the final merit list.

CRPF Head Constable Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
Candidates eligible for the CRPF Head Constable Medical Test stage will first have to undergo the detailed medical examination process. Let’s go through the entire CRPF Head Constable DME process below -
- CRPF medical officials/board will assess both mental and physical fitness as per uniform guidelines for recruitment medical exam for recruitment of GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and AR, dated 20.5.2015 and revised CRPF uniform guidelines.
- Both male and female candidates with “temporary unfitness” will be disallowed.
- Females who are found pregnant will be temporarily declared unfit and kept on hold to re-appear for the DME after six weeks with a medical certificate. If she is found fit thereafter, she will be appointed to the reserved post with due seniority as per Govt. rules.
- Candidates who are still found unfit in the DME can appeal the findings in the RME process.
CRPF Head Constable Review Medical Examination (RME)
Candidates who are rejected in the RME process can petition to appear for CRPF Head Constable Review Medical Examination. Here are some of the pointers to explain CRPF Head Constable RME clearly -
- As per Annexure-VIII of CRPF Head Constable ministerial notification, candidates can appear for RME by giving a written consent indicating reasons for being unfit.
- Candidates must consent to sign and submit Annexure-VIII within 24 hours of the DME result.
- The Review Medical exam will be conducted on the next day of DME.
- The RME is conducted by the official CRPF Re-Medical Board /Review Medical Board. The board’s decision stands final and no further appeals can be made.
- The RME board examines candidates on the basis of defects/deficiencies for which he/she was declared unfit in the previous DME round. Thus, you must strictly follow the medical test rounds (given below) to clear this stage easily.

How to Challenge the CRPF Head Constable Medical Test 2024?
Normally, there is no right to appeal against the results of the medical tests or examination. If a candidate's medical test results do not meet the criteria defined by the recruiting body, the candidate will be rejected. However, according to the official CRPF HC notification, candidates can request a Review Medical Exam (RME) within 24 hours of the Medical Test. For both selection and rejection, the decision of the Central Reserve Police Force's (CRPF) Re-Medical Board/Review Medical Boards is final.

CRPF Head Constable Training 2024
Candidates who pass the CRPF Head Constable medical test will be called for intensive training sessions in accordance with academy standards. Candidates must report to the training centres on the dates and times specified by the recruitment board.
