DJS Delhi Judicial Service Examination Application Fee

Candidates applying for the DJS Exam will have to pay a certain application fee depending on their category. The fee can be paid online through credit card, debit card or net banking. The category-wise fee applicable is as follows:

Delhi Judiciary Eligibility 2025

The candidates will have to fulfill the minimum criteria set for the candidates in order to be eligible for the post of Delhi Judicial Service Examination. The DJS Eligibility Criteria are listed below. 

  • The applicants must be citizens of India.
  • A person practising as an Advocate in India or a person qualified to be admitted as an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961 can apply for DJS Exam.
  • The age of the applicants must not be over 32 years of age.

Delhi Judiciary Selection Process 2025

Candidates applying for the Delhi Judicial Service Selection Process has three stages. Candidates will be selected for the Delhi Judicial Service Recruitment only if they satisfy all the criteria set and if they successfully qualify all the three stages of the Delhi Judiciary Examination Selection Process as given below –

Stage 1 – Prelims Examination

It is an objective type screening test consisting of 200 multiple choice questions of 200 marks testing General Knowledge, Mental Ability and Legal Aptitude. Only the candidates scoring above the cut-off will qualify for the next stage.

Stage 2 – Mains Examination

It consists of four compulsory papers of 200 marks each testing candidates' knowledge of law subjects like Criminal Law, Civil Law, English Language and General Knowledge. Candidates have to secure minimum qualifying marks separately in each paper as well as aggregate marks. Top candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage.

Stage 3 – Viva-Voce/ Interview

It is a personality test carrying 150 marks. Candidates are asked questions to judge their mental alertness, critical powers of assimilation, care and intelligence. Candidates are assessed on parameters like intelligence, conduct, character and suitability for the post. Total marks of Main exam and Viva-voce will determine final selection and candidates will be selected based on merit.

After qualifying the above two stages, shortlisted candidates will be appearing for a Viva Voce round constituting a total of 150 marks. A candidate of the general category must secure a minimum 50% marks and a candidate of the reserved category i.e. Sc/ST/PwD (deaf and hard of hearing) must secure minimum 45% marks in viva-voce to be eligible for being recommended for appointment to the service.

Delhi Judicial Services Syllabus 2025

The syllabus for Delhi Judicial Services recruitment includes subjects like General Knowledge, Current Affairs, English Language, Constitution of India, Indian Penal Code, Code of Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure Code, Evidence Act, Transfer of Property Act, Contract Act, Specific Relief Act, Limitation Act, Arbitration Law, and other relevant laws. For the prelims, the focus will be on objective type questions from these subjects. In mains, there will be detailed testing of laws in paper format. Paper 1 will focus on English and GK while papers 2, 3 and 4 will evaluate knowledge of civil and criminal laws in depth.

Delhi Judiciary Salary & Job Profile

The details of the Delhi Judiciary Civil Judge Salary will be released along with the official notification for the post. The salary for Civil Judge post in Delhi Judiciary starts from Rs. 56,100 and goes up to Rs. 1,77,500. In addition, free housing or HRA is provided. The job profile involves conducting court proceedings in a timely and efficient manner, understanding evidence and facts of the case, analyzing laws and delivering fair justice. Civil Judges have the authority to try civil and criminal cases and pass appropriate orders/judgments to resolve disputes as per law. It is a respectable and influential career in the legal system.

Delhi Judiciary Minimum Qualifying Marks

The Delhi High Court has specified the Minimum Qualifying Marks for the DJS Exam. Candidates need to score at least the minimum qualifying marks for their respective category to be considered for further selection.

Delhi Judiciary Admit Card 2025

Admit cards for Delhi Civil Judge Exam are released a few days before the exam. Separate call letters are issued for the prelims, mains, and interview stages.. To download the DJS Admit Card, candidates need to log into their registration account and enter required details like registration number and date of birth. The admit card contains the exam date, time, venue, guidelines, candidate's name, photo and roll number.All candidates must carry a printed copy of their admit card to the exam center, otherwise they won't be allowed to appear for the exam.

Delhi Judiciary Answer Key 2025

The DJS Answer Key is released in a few days after the Prelims Exam. Candidates can check the answer key and match their answers. In case of any objections, candidates can challenge the answers by paying a fee. The final answer key will be prepared after considering all valid objections. The result will be declared on the basis of final answer key only.

Delhi Judiciary Result 2025

The DJS Selhi Judical Service Result contains names of all shortlisted candidates in a merit list according to their performance. The result for each stage of the selection process is announced separately on the website of the Delhi High Court in a few weeks after the exam is concluded.
