Given :- A metro train runs at a speed of 45 km/h. It covers a total distance of 72 km on its route from origin to destination station in 2 hours that includes stops at intermediate stations and it stops for 2 minutes at each station.

Concept used :- 1. Calculate the time it takes to cover the entire distance.

2. subtract the time spent at each stop.

Solution :- Time takes to cover entire distance without stop is

Time = distance/speed

Time = \(72/45=1.6\) hours

Total time spend at each stops = (number of stops) × (time per stop)

\(2-1.6=0.4\) hours = (number of stopes)*(time per stop)

number of stops = \(0.4 \times 60/2=12\)
