Helical Gears:

A helical gear has teeth in the form of a helix around the gear.
Two such gears can be used to connect two parallel shafts.
In the case of single helical gears, there is some axial thrust between the teeth which is a disadvantage.
In order to eliminate this thrust, double helical gears (herringbone gears) are used.
It is equal to two single helical gears, in which two equal and opposite thrust are provided on each gear and the resulting axial thrust is zero.
