Given:

The in-radius of a triangle is 8 cm, and the sum of the lengths of its sides is 125 cm.

Formula used:

Area (A) = in-radius (r) × semi-perimeter (s)

Where, semi-perimeter (s) = (sum of the lengths of the sides) / 2

Calculations:

s = 125 / 2

⇒ s = 62.5 cm

A = r × s

A = 8 × 62.5

⇒ A = 500 cm2

∴ The correct answer is option (3).
