The present age of the father of a boy is twice the age of the boy. Six years later the ratio of their ages will be 11 ∶ 6. Find the present age of the boy?

Calculation:

Let's assume that six years later, father's age = 11k and boy's age = 6k

ATQ, (11k - 6) = 2(6k - 6)

⇒ 11k - 6 = 12k - 12

⇒ k = 6

So, the present age of the boy = 6k - 6 = (6 × 6) - 6 = 30 years

∴ The correct answer is 30 years
