Concept:
Average = (Sum of total items)/(Total number of items)
Total expenditure = Price of per unit × Total number of unit
Calculation:
Profit = 1200 + 396 = 1596
Total bananas sold at Rs. 3.5 each to earn a profit of 396 = 1596/3.5
= 456
Bananas that are rotten = 480 - 456 = 24
= 24 / 480 × 100 = 5%
∴ The required result will be 5 %.
