Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
Selling price (SP) of sweater = ₹900 (loss of 10%)
Selling price (SP) of trousers = ₹760 (profit of 25%)
Calculation:
Find Cost Price (CP) of sweater
Loss = 10%, so SP = 90% of CP
⇒ CP = 900 × 100 / 90 = ₹1000
Find Cost Price (CP) of trousers
Profit = 25%, so SP = 125% of CP
⇒ CP = 760 × 100 / 125 = ₹608
Calculate Total CP and Total SP
Total CP = ₹1000 + ₹608 = ₹1608
Total SP = ₹900 + ₹760 = ₹1660
Calculate Net Profit
Net Profit = Total SP - Total CP = ₹1660 - ₹1608 = ₹52
∴ Net profit = ₹52
